For nearly two decades I’ve worked where data, money, and products meet: at Big Tech, a top-3 US credit card company, Big 4 consulting, and fintech startups.

Most recently I’ve led analytics for a global payments platform, building a team from one person to seventeen and working on agentic commerce: AI agents that can check out, subscribe, and complete payments on someone’s behalf. Before that I led data strategy and data science for a major card business, and helped financial services clients modernize their data on the cloud.

Along the way I learned that the hard part of AI is rarely the model. It’s the data underneath it, the workflow around it, and the rules of moving money that a demo never shows. That’s what I write about here.
